THOMAS LONG - WATER SERIES

An exploration of the colors, patterns, and reflective qualities of water: this body of work is appealing because it translates that calm feeling we all get while watching water move, either flowing or meeting resistance. When light passes through the patterns in the glass, the reflections mimic those you would find as light passes through water, and capture the essence of liquid dynamics. The forms are also expressions of the fluid qualities of glass, which is indeed liquid.
